This provided forum for students to present their environment related research projects. This was jointly organized with Central Environment Autority.

Field Forestry Training workshop at Yagirala Forest Sampath Wahala, Palinda Perera, Kasun Rasanjala, Isuru Damith, Salindra Kasun, Ahamed Farhan and Kasun Thiwanka participated.
Field visit to Deniyaya, Gonagala and Pitadeniya This was based mainly on the study of endemic frogs. Nilantha Vishvanath, Salindra Kasun, Menen jayaratne and Isuru damith participated

Several workshops on Advanced Level Project activities - by Prof V Basnayake, Institute of Biology
Lecture on Bio ethics - by Prof V Basnayake
Seminar on Employment and Higher study opportunities in following Advanced Level Subjects in Biological Science Stream - conducted in collaboration with Institute of Biology. Prof M J S Wijayaratne, Dr Hiran Amarasekera, Mr C M R Antony, Dr Jayatnta Wattewidana and Mr Uduporuwa presented lectures at this workshop.

Workshop on Biodiversity of Sinharaja forest by Dr Hiran Amarasekera, Patron YBA, Mr Sampath Wahala, President YBA and Mr Nilantha Vishwanath, Secretary YBA
Field trip to Sinharaja forest. About 120 school children, mainly who sat 2005 GCE A/L examination participated in the trip. Percipients were grouped into several study groups and they observed faunal, floral and habitat diversity in the forest.
