Field Excursion to Adams Peak Ten members of the YBA participated in this three day tour.
Presentation on Reptiles of Sri Lanka Kasun Salindra introduced reptile diversity of Sri Lanka.

Field Biodiversity Training at Kanneliya Forest (2 days)
20 members were participated. Activities focused on field identification of fresh water fishes, birds, amphibian and how to get body scales of snakes.
Seminar on Higher Education choices for 18+ (after A/L) for Sri Lankan students

Invasive plant (Lantana) eradication at Udawalawe National Park
Ministry of Environment and Natural Resouces organized this campaign, and Group of youth consisting of members of Department Forestry and Environment Science of University of Sri Jayewardenepura and members of Young Biologists Association paricipated in the uprooting of Lantana at Udawalawe National park in Sri Lanka

Department of Forestry and Environment Science has compiled Ideas for environmentally friendly living and these will be launched on World Environment Day 2007 (June 5).
